MEMBERSHIP: The Avenel VFW is always looking for new membership. Qualification for membeship can be checked by going to the National VFW website by following this linkVFW National websiteTo become a member of the Auxiliary you must be related to a person who either qualifies for or is already a member of the VFW.

MILITARY RECORDS: If you wish to become a member of the VFW or our Auxiliary but do not have copies of your or a family member's DD214 they can be requested online on theNational Archives website.Just follow the instructions on the page.

DIRECTIONS: From North: Take Route 1 South exit at the West Smith Street light from the right lane. Cross Route 1 to stop sign. Turn right onto Jansen Ave. go one block to Tappen St. Turn left onto Tappen St. continue straight to end of the road. The Avenel VFW will be in front of you. From South: Take Route 1 North until it merges with Route 9 and becomes Route 1 & 9 in Woodbridge. Continue North crossing over Route 35. After passing Route 35 get in right lane. Look for Bud's Hut restaurant on Tappen St. Turn right onto Tappen St. Continue to end of the road. Avenel VFW will be in front of you.
